Rates include limited coverage of passenger liability and third party motor liability.

Such cover being subject to the terms and conditions of the Sizwe policy and insurance as is customary in this country.

Cover for loss by fire is also included together with cover for damage to the Sizwe car but may not include loss or damage through civil unrest.  

Collision Damage Waiver (CDW)
Avis offer you the choice of two optional Collision Damage Waivers.

Option 1 - Collision Damage Waiver (COW) - Limited Cover

Choosing this option, means that in the event of an accident, the renter is responsible for up to a specified amount as indicated on the Rates Sheet and On the Rental Agreement, for damage to the vehicle and/or any part thereof, or the cost of damage repair, whichever is the lower.

Option 2- Super Collision Damage Waiver
This option means that the renter is liable for minimal liability payments arising from collision damage and relieves the renter of responsibility for the full value of damages caused to the vehicle or any part thereof.

Note: In the event of an accident occurring when the vehicle was not driven by the renter, or other authorised driver as nominated on the Rental Agreement, the renter will be responsible for the full damage to or loss of the vehicle. The renter will also be responsible if the vehicle was driven on unsuitable roads, if the renter was driving negligently or if no other animal, object, vehicle or person was involved.

Declining Option I and Option 2
In the event that the renter declines Limited/Super cover CDW, the renter is liable for the full amount of damages incurred, or the full responsibility amount (as reflected in the Sizwe Rates Sheet) and Sizwe will require an additional deposit to cover current responsibility.

Theft Loss Waiver (TLW)
Sizwe offers you the choice of two optional Theft Loss Waivers

Option 1 - Theft Loss Waiver (TLW) - Limited Cover
Choosing this option means that in the event of theft of a vehicle or part thereof, the renter is responsible for up to an amount as indicated on the Rates Sheet and on the Rental Agreement*, for replacement of the applicable loss by theft. Personal property is not covered.
(*This value is double for weekend rentals)

Option 2- Super Theft Loss Waivers (STLW)
Choosing this option means that the renter is liable for any liability payments arising out of the theft of a vehicle or part thereof and relieves the renter of any responsibility (unless breach of contract or negligence occurs). Personal property is not covered.

Declining Option I and Option 2
In the event that the renter declines Limited! Super cover TLW, the renter will be responsible for the full amount of damages incurred or the full responsibility amount as reflected in the Sizwe Rates Sheet.

Sizwe will require an additional deposit to cover current responsibility.

Note: In the case of CDW and TLW for rentals originating in SA, and driven into Namibia or Botswana the conditions for CDW or TLW of these countries will apply.
